At Esurance, we believe we have a responsibility to give back to the communities we serve. And what better way to do that than giving back to someone who’s served our country? Last month, we teamed up with Recycled Rides and Seidner’s Collision Centers in Duarte, California, to give a veteran some well-deserved wheels.
Say hello to Jonathan
A native of Ontario, California, Jonathan Anda proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 21. While serving at U.S. embassies overseas, Jonathan dedicated himself to pursuing higher education, eventually earning his associate degree from the University of Maryland while he served.
Now that he’s stateside again, Jonathan has devoted himself to giving back to the veteran community by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology and, eventually, a graduate degree in clinical psychology. “My end goal is to go back into the military community with veterans or active duty members as a psychologist,” he says.
Jonathan is currently devoting all his time to this goal, attending Azusa Pacific University as a full-time student. With such an honorable objective, how could Esurance not help out? We partnered with our friends at Recycled Rides and Seidner’s Collision Centers in Duarte to help this veteran get to class a little easier.
On February 15, 2018, we gifted Jonathan with a 2013 Honda Fit to help him make the trek to class in style.
Best of luck to you, Jonathan!
About recycled rides
Esurance and Recycled Rides work together to find vehicles that have been deemed a “total loss,” refurbish them, and hand them off to people in need.
