Not really lovin' the commercials with the baby chicks unless its just an optical illusion. Baby birds are not dogs, they do not preform tricks for a reward, they are confused and scared without their mothers. They belong in the sunny field scratching for worms, not on a vehicle confused and scared. I don't approve of exploiting animals in this way and tend not to buy anything from any company that does this. My family feels the same way too, so you are just promoting bad publicity by advertising in this way.
Thanks for sharing your concern. You’ll be glad to know that the baby chicks in our commercial were raised with love and care by a group of specialists, a few of whom were on hand to care for them during shooting. There were also several Humane Society representatives on set just to ensure the chicks were not mistreated or hurt whatsoever. We have letters from both groups confirming the respectful treatment of all animals.
As with filming on all commercials, we work hard to make sure everyone’s happy and well-treated … even baby chicks! (They seemed to especially enjoy the toy jeep, which was a part of their very own “chicks’ set.”)
